On Saturday, Pete qualified in 2nd position turning a 1:42.002. I
qualified in the 6 position, turning a 142.715. I was able to use
the torque of the H22, to power into 4th position during the standing
start. Jason F. was able to get a great jump on the start to take
over 2nd position from Pete. With one lap completed, Pete had an
unfortunate off. I held 3rd position for the next few
laps. Chris D. was able to overtake me in turn 4, for third
position. With a lap remaining, Pete who was charging from behind
took over 4th position. I was able to hold on to 5th place,
considering I had tire failure.
On Sunday, I qualified in 3rd position turning a 141.752, Pete in 5th
position, with a lap time of 1:41.998. Pete was able to gain a
position on the start of the race to move into 4th position. Due
to electrical issues, Pete had to come into pit lane for repairs.
I battled it out with Kevin H., exchanging positions twice. Kevin
would go on to hold third position, myself finishing in 4th. |
